Learn to Play Hockey is a well organized step-by-step program that enables girls ages 5-9 years to have fun while learning the basics of the great game of hockey from USA Hockey trained instructors.
This “mini” session is for girls headed to Learn to Play program. Typically, players must complete two 8-week sessions of Learn to Play Hockey AND be able to hockey stop in order to join the Buckeye Broadband (Rec) Hockey League.
The weekly lesson plans follow the USA Hockey American Development Model (ADM) with emphasis on skating, puck control, stopping, passing, turning and shooting. Each player receives a jersey and hockey socks. Full equipment is required including stick.
